In accordance with Article 11 of the Masary University Study and Examination Regulations of MU (SaER), the student selects courses for each of his/her studies in the IS MU during the period set for enrolment of courses for the following semester. The application for registration of courses is submitted via registration in the MU IS during the registration period. Enrolment in courses may be conditional on previous successful completion of other courses according to the rules resulting from the content of the programme, the dean may also limit the number of students who will be enrolled in the course and set other conditions for enrolment in elective courses.

If a student fails to meet the requirements for credit or graded credit in due time (Article 18 of the SaER) or fails to pass a colloquium or examination in due time (Article 19 of the SaER), he/she is entitled to a maximum of two resit dates in the case of a first-time course and a maximum of one resit date in the case of a repeated course.

The student is obliged to enrol in the next semester in a course that he/she has not successfully completed (Article 21 of the SaER). If he/she does not successfully complete the repeated course even after exhausting the options under Article 18 or Article 19 of the SaER, he/she does not have the right to enrol in the following semester under Article 12(1)(a) of the SaER and his/her studies are terminated under Section 56(1)(b) of the Higher Education Act. In accordance with Section 68(4) of the Higher Education Act, an appeal may be lodged within 30 days of receipt of the decision to terminate studies (the request must be submitted to the authority that issued the decision). The obligation to repeat courses may be waived at the student's own discretion for elective courses up to a maximum of one-tenth of the minimum credit value of the course.
